Ways to prevent common dental problems

Dental Problems can happen to anyone at any age. Almost everyone will experience a dental problem atleast once in their lifetime. There are few insignificant dental issues which lead to more serious health hazards in near future. Whatever dental problem it may, it’s highly recommended to visit your local dentist to prevent serious consequences.

Some of the common dental problems that reproduce serious outcomes are:

Tartar:

Tartar was caused by Bacterial Formation as a result of accumulation of minerals from saliva and food particles around the teeth. Day by day it will get worse and take shape as a harder substance. It doesn’t seem like a problem but in reality it’s the root cause for other dental issues like Tooth Decay, Cavities and gum disease.

Best way to prevent tartar is to brush the teeth regularly and properly. Drinking sufficient quantity of water before and after food will prevents tartar build up.

Gingivitis:

Gingivitis is an earlier stage of gum disease caused by harmful germs present in the mouth. Reaction of Gingivitis will be very mild therefore most of us are unable to predict the problem. Complication of Gingivitis are Periodontitis that destroys the bone supporting the teeth, Tooth Loss, Swollen Glands etc.,

It can be prevented by regular brushing and flossing. Controlling tartar build up will be the best way to prevent Gingivitis.

Tooth Sensitivity:

Tooth Sensitivity occurs when teeth are exposed to hot or cold food stuffs and sweet, sour or acidic foods. It’s a painful sensation caused due to the erosion of enamel protecting the teeth from external stimulation.

Practicing Good Oral Hygiene is the fundamental method to prevent tooth sensitivity. If you are experiencing tooth sensitivity, visit a dental practice to determine the cause of tooth sensitivity which will assist you to find a better solution and also it can be easily cured.

Tooth Decay:

Tooth Decay is one of the most common diseases around the world. Bacteria present in our mouth generate acids that erode the tooth gradually and leads to Cavity. Tooth Decay brings severe pain, chewing problems, weight loss and nutrition problems.

You can prevent tooth decay by eating nutritious and balanced food and maintaining good oral health.
